One herb saved my life from catatonic schizo by buying one book. Catatonic schizophrenia showed up on my doorstep after my first divorce. Most of the year I spent in that cramped apartment is all jumbled up.

I remember some things, but not others. I was coherent, but I was also incoherent. Also, I don’t think I hardly ate anything during that time. My depression was very evident.

Catatonic schizophrenia definition is a rare severe mental disorder characterized by striking motor behavior, typically involving either significant reductions in voluntary movement or hyperactivity and agitation.

Therefore, a catatonic schizophrenia example is that the patient may remain in a state of almost complete immobility, often assuming statuesque positions.

Catatonic schizophrenia has three main types of catatonia:

Also known as stuporous catatonia, this is the most common type. People with akinetic catatonia may stare blankly, not respond to speech, or sit or lie in an unusual position.

This is what I have. When I was in the apartment, I stared blankly out the window, not really seeing anything or anyone. 

Also known as excited catatonia, this type involves increased movement, such as pacing, or agitated behavior. People with hyperkinetic catatonia may also mimic the movements of others. 

Also known as Stauder’s lethal catatonia, this type can be deadly. Symptoms include extreme excitability, which can lead to dangerous changes in blood pressure, body temperature, breathing or heart rate. 

One herb saved my life from catatonic schizo thanks to doing research. The exact cause of catatonic schizo is unknown, but there are several factors that may contribute to its development: 

People with catatonic schizophrenia have abnormalities in the brain, particularly in the forebrain and hypothalamus, which control body movement. 

However, imbalances in neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin may contribute to abnormal brain function. 

Having a family history of schizophrenia increases the risk of developing the condition. My mother suffered from schizophrenia.

It was scary watching her, so I tried not to be around her too much. My grandma became so anxious when she was around her, which led to depression.

One herb saved my life from catatonic schizo just in time. Other risk factors include viral infections, fetal malnutrition, childhood trauma or abuse, and severe stress early in life. 

I’ve talked about this before. My first grade teacher was physically abusive towards me for two years (she held me back a year). I was scarred for life.

  • Catatonic posturing schizophrenia: a rare and severe mental illness that involves extreme changes in movement:
    • Posturing: Holding a position against gravity for a long time, such as keeping a leg up or holding an arm in the air 
    • Immobility: Remaining motionless for hours or days, appearing frozen in place 
    • Waxy flexibility: Showing some resistance when attempts are made to move the person 
  • Agitation
  • Rigidity
  • Withdrawal
  • Delusions
  • Hallucinations
  • Grimacing
  • Mannerism: when someone performs normal actions in an exaggerated or unusual way. 
  • Negativism: where a person resists or doesn’t react to what’s happening around them, often without a clear reason. 
    • Examples In catatonic schizophrenia, negativism can manifest as:
      • Mutism: The person is very or completely quiet
      • Waxy flexibility: The person resists attempts to change their position, then their muscles release and their limbs bend

One herb saved my life from catatonic schizo when meds couldn’t. Neither antipsychotics with all their side effects, nor did electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) work. No matter how many different meds they put me on, they never worked.

And then I’d have to take more meds to help with the side effects from the antipsychotic meds. Bunch of bullsh*t!

Don’t get me started on ECT. I lost a good portion of my memory from it. I think doctors prescribe it because they get money from it. Who wants to fry their brain?

Now, for the juicy part! I bought an herbal book two months ago. I looked up what herb would be good for schizo, and low and behold, Ginkgo Biloba was printed next to it.

It said to take it along with the antipsychotic, so I did exactly that. I’ve been taking it for about two months and the difference is phenominal.

My clarity is back. I haven’t had any delusions or hallucinations since then. I was beginning to think they were real for as many as I was having a day.

Also, my sleep is getting back on track. Once I fall asleep, I don’t wake up to “something attacking me” anymore. It was my own mind attacking me.

Ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba) is one of the oldest living tree species. It is also one of the best-selling herbal supplements in the United States and Europe.

Although not all studies agree, ginkgo may help treat dementia (including Alzheimer disease) and intermittent claudication, or poor circulation in the legs.

It may also protect memory in older adults. Antioxidants like those found in Ginkgo fight off free radicals, and stop them from damaging DNA and other cells.

One herb saved my life from catatonic schizo through anxiety and memory loss. Hence, one preliminary study found that a special formulation of ginkgo extract called EGB 761 might help relieve anxiety.

People with generalized anxiety disorder and adjustment disorder who took this specific extract had fewer anxiety symptoms than those who took placebo.

Ginkgo is widely touted as a “brain herb.” Some studies show that it helps improve memory in people with dementia.

It is unclear whether Ginkgo helps memory in healthy people with normal, age-related memory loss. Some studies have found slight benefits, while other studies have found no effect.

Some studies have found that ginkgo helps improve memory and thinking in young and middle-aged people who are healthy. 

When used orally in moderate amounts, ginkgo appears to be safe for most healthy adults.

Ginkgo can cause:

  • Headache
  • Dizziness
  • Heart palpitations
  • Upset stomach
  • Constipation
  • Allergic skin reactions

Don’t eat raw or roasted ginkgo seeds, which can be poisonous.

If you are epileptic or prone to seizures, avoid ginkgo. Large amounts of ginkgotoxin can cause seizures. Ginkgotoxin is found in ginkgo seeds and, to a lesser extent, ginkgo leaves.

If you are older, have a bleeding disorder or are pregnant, don’t take ginkgo

I ordered mine through Amazon and it cost me $9.99 for 120 capsules. You take one in the morning and another at night (both with food).

Like it says, it’s really good with memory. At first, I couldn’t tell any change, but after taking it for two months, I can tell the difference.

I’m not forgetting how to spell simple words. I can recall memories more rapidly than before.

To me, this is a wonder herb. I can’t fully describe the clarity I am feeling. This is why I want to go holistic with all my meds.

As far as I’m concerned, they can kiss my A*s. And then setting the prices so high that you can’t afford them. They have been lying to us for years just to make a profit.

Many people are fed up. I refuse to buy anymore Metformin for my diabetes because of the outrages prices. I’m going in on all natural even if it takes me a few years.

I have Parkinson’s from a side effect of Zyprexa. It totally ruin the life I was just carving out for myself. It was supposed to be a rare side effect. Well, it found me!
